Friday Founders Beer Dinner and Tap Takeover

“Beer for people like us.”

This Friday we are proud to have our first Founders Brewing tap takeover and 5 course beer dinner. Our founding beer philosophy is grounded in the balance between Old World lagers and sours developed and perfected through many years and New World palate-pushing and sometimes punishing brews. Founders falls squarely in the Brave New World of beer. By their own admission, they “brew the kind of beer that got them excited about brewing in the first place: complex, in-your-face ales, with huge aromatics, bigger body, and tons of flavor.” Although we don’t have the most taps in the market, we weigh our 12 handle choices carefully. Founders has been on draft since the beginning. We love the year rounders like Porter, Centennial IPA and All Day IPA. We anticpate the seasonals like Breakfast Stout and we grab the specialty and limited runs as fast as we can. Being a coffee roaster we also like to play around with the beers combining them with coffee, the porter is a perfect match with our cold brew in a 50/50 and cocktails like the Founders Flip.

This Friday we take it to the next level with a 5 course dinner pairing prepared in the Closet We Call a Kitchen by Matthew Brownlie.
