The Midwest harvest is coming in strong. Tomatoes, corn and peaches are overflowing at your local farmer’s market. There is a particular harvest here at the roastery that we are always eagerly anticipating, fresh crop Ethiopia coffees. The harvest was quite good this time around and the coffees are spectacular. For our Autumn blend we decided to mix a washed and natural coffee and find the result greater than the sum of its parts. The tea like characteristics of the washed Aricha Yirgacheffe are complementary to the intense, wine-like fruitiness of the natural process Adado Yirgacheffe. Together they form a mouthful of flavor as full as the farmer’s markets.
