New Cocktail Drink Menu Perfect for Fall

Our favorite season is finally here.  A season to fully indulge in cider mill donuts with zero regrets because we have waited all year long for the nostalgic smell of cinnamon-sugar, and the carb bomb as a result of it’s enticement.  A time of year where dressing like whatever the heck we want is appropriate and acceptable, so go ahead and rock that ninja turtle getup.  But our favorite part of the autumn season is undoubtedly the enjoyment of a hot, decadent latte amidst the falling temperatures.  Scratch that, a coffee and a well-deserved cocktail at the end of a long week.  Yet, fall reminds us that what’s really important in life is spending quality time with the ones you love.  And the best place to do that is at a coffee shop… and even better is at a coffee shop that also serves food and cocktails.  Okay, so we’re bragging a bit.

But seriously, our new cocktail menu at our Midtown Detroit cafe checks a mark in all the right boxes.  We designed our new menu with all of you in mind, ensuring that each drink is easy to drink and even easier to share.  So if you are just not feeling a social setting, that’s totally cool.  These recipes can certainly be replicated at home, as long as you are adventurous enough to make it your own.  Explore our top five favorite cocktails off of our new menu to gage what your palate is craving this season.

Fall Leaves Cocktail

This cocktail is highlighted first for a reason. With Jamaican rum as a base, you already know things are off to a great start.  All you have to do is close your eyes, take a sip, and suddenly you imagine yourself lounging on a warm beach, without a care in the world.  Then hints of pomegranate and cranberry infiltrate your senses, and like magic, you are transported back to reality.  Equally refreshing, as it is balanced, our Fall Leaves cocktail will have you dreaming about the change in seasons.

Ingredients:
Jamaican Rum
Pomegranate-Cranberry Simple Syrup
Cointreau
Soda
Lime Slices

Panacea Cocktail

If you are looking for a cocktail that is full-bodied and rich, look no further.  We blend coffee infused coconut rum, five spice syrup, cold brew coffee and cream for the ultimate fall elixir.  Because why wouldn’t we add cold brew to a cocktail?  It’s what we’re best at.

6 quarts of hot water
1 ramekin of fennel

Autumn Rouge Cocktail

As crisp and refreshing as the autumn air, the Autumn Rouge is like taking a sip of nature herself.  It’s smooth and refreshing, with a tad of sweetness. Bulleit Rye, Averna and Luxardo meet whiskey barrel bitters and fresh cherry in this rich, seasonal cocktail. It doesn’t get much better than that.

The Gibbons Cocktail

What’s a new drink menu without a tequila drink...? Not a real menu, obviously.  Yet, we believe in the understated power of a straightforward agave drink.  One that packs a punch with a little spice, and leaves you with a refreshing aftertaste. But don’t underestimate the simplicity of this one, The Gibbons doesn’t play around.

Ingredients:
Reposado Tequila
Lime Juice
Lemon Juice
Soda
Jalapeno Slices
